ProHealth Regency Senior Communities Announces Memory Care Addition in Brookfield, WI

Brookfield Campus Memory Care

ProHealth Regency Senior Communities announces the addition of a 7,437 square foot memory care wing at its Brookfield campus. The 11-unit wing, which opened in April, has expanded Regency’s offerings to support seniors with memory loss or dementia, allowing them to age in place.

Regency Chief Operating Officer Elizabeth Brzeski says she is excited to see this new chapter in Regency’s history come to life. “We are thrilled to support the growing need for memory care in the local community. As a non-profit, we are driven to serve others, and it’s our mission to provide a superior quality of life to our residents. This addition enables seniors to remain within their established community and still receive the care they need no matter how that may change in the future.”

Each unit in the new wing is spacious, with large private bathrooms that have walk-in showers and other safety features. Residents will have the opportunity to join events and activities in a welcoming common area complete with full kitchen and dining room. A large enclosed outdoor courtyard adds a home-like touch to the community.

Specially-trained staff lead a wide variety of programming designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle and active aging. Other benefits include high staffing to resident ratios, 24/7 support, specialized diets and assistance with personal care and mobility needs.

Memory care housing is in high demand. By 2050, the number of people age 65 and older with Alzheimer’s dementia is projected to reach 13.8 million according to the Alzheimer’s Association. “We are extremely fortunate to be planning this new wing during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Elizabeth. “We have an exceptional team in place, and they are ready to provide opportunities for seniors to live safe, healthy and meaningful lives.”

The new wing is located adjacent to the campus’ already established residential care apartment complex, which features over 90 one-bedroom and studio apartments. The 23-acre campus, which also features a 103-unit independent living complex which is currently receiving some fresh updates. The renovation, scheduled to be complete this fall, will include an expanded lobby, refinished craft room, and brand new fitness center, meditation room, game room and country store.
